Description:
LOCTITE® SI 5980 is a high-performance, black alkoxy silicone flange sealant specifically designed for applications requiring excellent oil resistance and the ability to fill large gaps. Ideal for stamped sheet metal components such as timing gear covers and oil sumps, it forms a durable, flexible rubber gasket when cured at room temperature in the presence of air. Its thixotropic properties ensure easy application with minimal sealant migration, and it withstands low-pressure in-line testing immediately after assembly.
