E-TECH Restored Headlight Clear Coat

The E-TECH Restored Headlight Clear Coat is a specialist clear lacquer formulated to be the final stage in headlight restoration. It replaces the cloudy, yellowed top layer that is removed during polishing, sealing the lens with a long-lasting, chip-resistant, and UV-resistant coating.

Unlike temporary liquid solutions that require frequent reapplication, this clear coat delivers a permanent water-tight barrier that restores clarity and prevents future degradation.

Important:

This product is designed only for use on restored or reconditioned headlight lenses that have been returned to a clear state. It must be used as the final step in the restoration process to seal and protect the exposed lens surface.

Preparation:

1. After the final polishing step, wash the lens thoroughly to remove any traces of polish, wax, dust, or dirt, and dry completely.
2. Mask off surrounding areas to prevent overspray.
3. Ensure the can is at room temperature (approx. 15ºC to 25ºC) and work in a warm, dry, dust-free environment.
4. Do not spray in cold, damp, or humid conditions.
5. Open the provided sachet in the cap and use the cleaning tissue to wipe down the lenses (one side per lens) to remove any final residue or fingerprints.
6. Shake the can vigorously for 2 minutes before spraying.

Application:

1. Hold the can 20–30cm (8"–12") from the surface.
2. Spray in smooth side-to-side motions, avoiding runs or heavy buildup.
3. Apply in thin, even layers, allowing 3–4 minutes drying time between coats.
4. Shake the can between coats to maintain consistency.
5. After the final coat, allow the surface to become tack-free after 1 hour and fully hardened in 4 hours.
6. Do not drive the vehicle during the drying period. Avoid washing the vehicle for 24 hours.
