E-TECH Technik Detail Film is a high-quality, durable self-adhesive film designed for styling and protecting both interior and exterior vehicle surfaces. Ideal for use on cars, 4x4s, pick-ups, and bikes, the film adheres firmly to flat and single-curved surfaces, providing lasting protection and a sleek finish.

Important Installation Notes

• Do not fit in temperatures below 13°C (55°F) – warm the surface or install in a heated area if needed
• Once applied, do not reposition the film
• Allow adhesive to cure – do not wash the vehicle for 3 days after application

Surface Preparation

• Clean the surface thoroughly – remove all dirt, wax, oil, grease, polish, and moisture
• Use a degreaser or suitable cleaner safe for paintwork (e.g. white spirit or methylated spirits)
• If fitting to interior panels, ensure all traces of polish or silicone are removed
• Ensure surface is completely dry before applying the film
• Do not stretch the film during installation

Fitting Instructions

We recommend creating a paper or card template for a more precise fit before cutting the film.

Method A – Dry Fit

1. Cut the film to shape (using your template if made)
2. Peel back 1–2cm of the backing paper and stick down the exposed end
3. Slowly peel away the backing while pressing the film into position, removing air bubbles as you go
4. Use a pin to pop any stubborn air bubbles

Method B – Wet Fit (adjustable)

1. Mix a weak soapy solution using baby shampoo or washing-up liquid
2. Spray both the adhesive side of the film and the fitting surface lightly with the solution
3. Carefully position the film – it can now be adjusted for alignment
4. Use a squeegee to push out excess solution from the centre outward
5. Leave the film to dry undisturbed once fully squeegeed

Note: This product is designed for flat or gently curved surfaces and may not conform to complex shapes or sharp contours.
